Privacy Policy

AnnounceDock is a web service that helps Discord server owners create, manage, and send announcements to their communities. We are based in the Netherlands.

When you use AnnounceDock, we collect:

• →Account data: Your Discord user ID, username, avatar, and email address, obtained through Discord OAuth2 when you log in.
• →Server data: The names, IDs, and icons of Discord servers you connect to AnnounceDock.
• →Content data: Announcement templates you create, including titles, descriptions, images, and embed settings.
• →Usage data: A log of announcements you send — including the channel, date, and delivery status.
• →Billing data: If you subscribe to Pro, Stripe processes your payment information. We store only your Stripe customer ID. We never see or store card numbers.

We do not collect browsing history, device fingerprints, or advertising identifiers.

We use your data solely to operate the service:

• →To authenticate you via Discord OAuth2
• →To send announcements to Discord channels through our bot
• →To enforce Free and Pro plan limits
• →To process payments via Stripe
• →To display your profile information in the dashboard

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose beyond providing this service.

We rely on the following trusted third-party services to operate AnnounceDock:

• →Discord: Used for authentication and bot functionality. discord.com/privacy
• →Stripe: Handles all payment processing for Pro subscriptions. We never see your card details. stripe.com/privacy
• →Upstash: Infrastructure for scheduled and recurring announcements. upstash.com/privacy
• →Vercel: Hosts our application and serves web traffic. vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
• →Neon / PostgreSQL: Stores your account, template, and history data securely.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion:

• →Your profile, server data, templates, and history are deleted within 30 days.
• →Billing records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by Dutch tax law.

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• →Right to access the data we hold about you
• →Right to correct inaccurate data
• →Right to deletion (“right to be forgotten”)
• →Right to object to processing
• →Right to data portability

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is strictly necessary — without it the service cannot function. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party tracking cookies.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not store passwords — authentication is handled entirely through Discord OAuth2. We follow security best practices to protect your data, but no system is completely immune to breaches.

AnnounceDock is not directed at children under 13. Discord itself requires users to be at least 13 years old.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
